Description
Variegated Peace Lily Care Sheet
Common Name: Variegated Peace Lily
Scientific Name: Spathiphyllum spp. (variegated cultivars)
Light:
Prefers bright, indirect light. Can tolerate lower light but may lose some variegation. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Water:
Keep soil consistently moist but not soggy. Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry. Drooping leaves are a sign it needs water.
Humidity:
Enjoys moderate to high humidity. Mist regularly or place near a humidifier if the air is dry.
Temperature:
Ideal range is 18–24°C. Keep away from cold drafts and avoid temperatures below 12°C.
Soil:
Use a well-draining, rich potting mix. A peat-based indoor plant mix works well.
Fertilizer:
Feed every 4–6 weeks during the growing season with a balanced, diluted liquid fertilizer.
Pruning:
Remove yellow or damaged leaves and spent blooms at the base to encourage new growth.
Toxicity:
Toxic to pets and humans if ingested. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
