Description
Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma 'Green' Care Sheet
Common Name: Green Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma
Scientific Name: Rhaphidophora tetrasperma
Light:
Prefers bright, indirect light. It can tolerate lower light conditions but grows best with plenty of indirect sunlight, which encourages lush growth.
Water:
Allow the top 2–3 cm of soil to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly, ensuring the pot has drainage to avoid waterlogging.
Humidity:
Enjoys moderate to high humidity. Mist regularly or use a humidity tray to maintain humidity levels, especially in dry environments.
Temperature:
Thrives in temperatures between 18–29°C. Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 10°C.
Soil:
Use a well-draining, airy potting mix. A peat-based mix with added perlite or orchid bark is ideal for good drainage.
Fertilizer:
Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce feeding during winter when growth slows.
Pruning:
Trim leggy growth to encourage a bushier appearance. Remove any yellowing or damaged leaves as needed.
Toxicity:
Toxic to pets and humans if ingested. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
