Sansevieria Hahnii Care Sheet
Common Name: Bird’s Nest Snake Plant
Scientific Name: Sansevieria trifasciata 'Hahnii' (also sometimes classified under Dracaena)
Light:
Tolerates low to bright indirect light. Prefers bright, indirect light for best leaf color. Can adapt well to low-light conditions.
Water:
Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water sparingly, especially in cooler months.
Humidity:
Average indoor humidity is sufficient. Thrives in dry air—no need for additional humidity.
Temperature:
Ideal growing temperatures are between 16–29°C. Protect from frost and cold drafts.
Soil:
Use a well-draining cactus or succulent mix. Make sure the pot has drainage holes.
Fertilizer:
Feed with a diluted cactus or succulent fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer).
Pruning:
Minimal pruning needed. Remove any yellow, damaged, or dead leaves at the base.
Toxicity:
Toxic to pets and humans if ingested. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
