Light:
Prefers bright, indirect light. Can tolerate some gentle morning sun, but avoid harsh direct sunlight which can scorch the large leaves. Low light may slow growth and reduce leaf size.

Water:
Keep soil consistently lightly moist but not soggy. Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil begins to dry out. Alocasias are sensitive to both overwatering and drying out completely.

Humidity:
Prefers high humidity. Thrives in humidity above 60%. Use a humidifier or humidity tray for best results, especially indoors.

Temperature:
Ideal temperature range is 18–28°C. Protect from cold drafts and avoid temperatures below 15°C.

Soil:
Use a well-draining, chunky aroid mix with coco coir or peat, perlite, and orchid bark. Good aeration is essential to prevent root rot.

Fertilizer:
Feed every 3–4 weeks during spring and summer with a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer. Alocasias are moderate feeders during active growth.

Pruning:
Remove yellowing or damaged leaves at the base. Older leaves will naturally die off as new ones emerge.

Toxicity:
Toxic if ingested to pets and humans. Keep out of reach of children and animals.

Dormancy:
May go semi-dormant in cooler months, especially in winter. Reduce watering and allow soil to dry slightly more between waterings during this period.
